Dapoxetine Hydrochloride, the active ingredient present in Generic Priligy tablets is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)  used for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men. Dapoxetine is the only drug which has obtained regulatory approval for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE).
The effectiveness of Priligy(Dapoxetine Hydrochloride) in the treatment of premature ejaculation has been established in clinical trials.

Side Effects of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride (Generic Priligy)

Generic Priligy should not be given to patients with known hypersensitivity to dapoxetine hydrochloride or to any of the non-active ingredients. Generic Priligy (Poxet Tablets ) is also contraindicated in patients with significant pathological cardiac conditions or orthostatic reactions. Dapoxetine Hydrochloride is usually very well tolerated.
In patients taking Generic Priligy (Dapoxetine Hydrochloride tablets), the most frequently reported adverse experiences occurring in approximately 1%-10% of patients are:
Increase in blood pressure, Dizziness, Headache, Somnolence, Tremor, Disturbance in attention, Fatigue Irritability, Nausea and Diarrhoea.

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride (Generic Priligy) - Dosage

The maximum recommended dose of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride is one tablet of 60 mg every 24 hours. The dose is to be administered as needed approximately 1 to 3 hours prior to sexual activity. Generic Priligy Tablets should not be used in patients below 18 years of age.

Overdosage and Overdose Symptoms of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride

In cases of overdose, standard supportive measures should be adopted by the doctors treating overdose cases. However during a clinical study of Priligy with daily doses up to 240 mg there were no unexpected severe adverse effects.

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride is available as Generic Priligy Tablets which is packaged as tablets of 60 mg. Each Generic Priligy 60 mg film-coated tablet contains 60 mg of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride.
